Janice Almeida, Senior New Hire Development Specialist, will be the expert speaker at the St. Jude Career Alliance Ministry Wednesday morning meeting on October 1. Ms. Almeida's October 1 presentation will examine the significance of listening & interview skills.
In her role as Senior New Hire Development Specialist, Ms. Almeida supports the assimilation and development needs for the Ricoh sales job family through the delivery, coordination and execution of new hire sales training programs. Ms. Almeida works with the Ricoh field sales development team as well as with the regional and area management to execute a new hire learning and development plan that supports the achievement of Ricoh business objectives and leverages the learning opportunities available through Ricoh Americas Corporation.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Ms. Almeida has spent all of her post college years in the office automation industry. In 1987, she joined IKON Office Solutions as an aftermarket manager and worked her way up to becoming a major account sales manager. In 2007, Ms. Almeida moved to the IKON sales training organization. When IKON Office Solutions was purchased by Ricoh Americas Corporation in 2008, she joined the New Hire Development team to help meet the needs of new hires across the country. Ricoh Americas Corporation is owned by Ricoh Company, Ltd., a Japanese multinational imaging and electronics company.
If asked what value she brings to the table, Ms. Almeida's answer will be "Passion for the new hire." She believes that by sharing her real life experiences, she is able to bring the best potential forward in every person with whom she has the opportunity to impact, directly r indirectly. "My goal is to create the vision for a rep of what every manager wishes they had on their team, then challenge them to achieve that vision," Ms. Almeida said.
