Health and Success Go Hand in Hand

I want to start out by saying that I did not do any intensive research on this subject...just going by my personal experiences.  I believe strongly that health and success go hand in hand.  Think about people that you know of that you would consider to be successful.  Are they healthy as well? Do they workout? Are the people that you look up to in shape or out of shape?  I am not saying that being healthy means that you will automatically be a successful person (and I also know that there are successful people that are unhealthy), but I do believe that health and success go hand in hand. Here are some reasons why I feel that good health leads to success:

1. Increased Energy: People that are  active and workout on a regular basis, tend to have more energy and are more productive. This will carry over into their professional lives. When we are more productive and can think clearly, success is sure to follow!

2. More Confidence:  Individuals that are in shape and healthy usually have higher self confidence than those that are not.  One attribute of very successful people is having self confidence.  People that are sure of themselves are contagious (in a good way) and it will spread throughout their entire team.

3. Better Mood:  Healthier people tend to be in better overall moods than unhealthy people. Have you ever seen someone in a bad mood after a really good workout? :)  When we exercise, we release endorphins that improve our mood as well.  When we are in a better mood, we are more optimistic and you know where I am going from here.  Optimistic people tend to be more successful than pessimistic people. Optimistic people look to solve problems instead of dwelling on them.

Just because you're healthy does not mean you will be successful and if you're not healthy that you won't, but in my experience, health and success definitely go hand in hand.  What do you think? Let me know in the comments. Thanks!
