Help Mary Shelley finish her classic novel.

Wylie's Smith Public Library invites all brave souls to attend Mary Shelley's Frankenstein -- an Interactive Adventure from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.

Steampunk sleuths age 18 and up are invited to help Mary Shelley complete her classic novel in this immersive experience. Solve puzzles and follow clues to bring her characters to life. Costumes (early 19th century) are not required but are encouraged.

This event is presented by the Durian Grey Company, a North Texas troupe of "steampunk performers, musicians, and scoundrels," specializing in interactive theater ranging from murder mystery parties to Victorian martial arts classes.

The library will close at 5 p.m. as usual; registered attendees will be admitted to the building at 6 p.m. for the program. Register on the library's website, WylieTexas.gov/library. There is no charge. The library is part of the Wylie Municipal Complex, 300 Country Club Rd., Bldg. 300, Wylie.
