What says "spring" more than bunches of bright, colorful, freshly-picked tulips? Luckily, just a little way from the Dallas area, there's a field where you can pick your fill of these beautiful flowers, and now is the time to go. The spring season at Texas-Tulips is in full swing, so make your way to Pilot Point in the coming weeks. 

Once you arrive, you'll pay $3 per person to enter the fields. They're open seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and after entering, you're free to take as many stunning family photos as you'd like. You can also enjoy snacks, chips, candy, and soda from the concession stands, and parking is free. 

If you're interested in picking flowers to bring home with you, the U-pick package will allow you to pick stems for $2.50 each. They'll loan you a basket to carry with you through the fields and you can select the tulips that catch your eyes. 

Want professional photos of the whole family at Texas-Tulips? You can bring a hired photographer, but you'll have to pay a small extra fee.
