Wylie Police Department invites the public to take part in a Drug Take-Back event Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous, and labels do not need to be removed.
"Help us prevent pill abuse, theft and accidents by getting expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications out of your home," said Community Relations Officer Nuria Arroyo.
Controlled, non-controlled, and over-the-counter medications may be collected. New this year, Walgreens is partnering with Wylie PD and will accept syringes and needles. Intravenous solutions will not be accepted.
