Popular author Lorraine Heath will be at Smith Library June 2.

Wylie's Smith Public Library is hosting a chance to visit with several authors in a relaxed setting while enjoying a bite to eat. Books and Bites is planned for Saturday, June 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. The come-and-go event offers readers a chance to pull up a chair and spend a few minutes with one author after another, while enjoying an hors d'oeuvres buffet with cheese and fruit, crostini and tartlets prepared by one of Wylie's favorite restaurants, Taste of Home.

Authors slated to attend are Alexia Gordon, Barb Han, Lorraine Heath, T. Jerome Miller, Sara Rosett, and Becky Wade.

Guests may bring their own copies of the authors' books for autographs, but books will be available onsite for purchase. Proceeds from book sales will benefit the Friends of the Library support group, which has purchased a 3D printer and STEAM kits for the library, among other contributions.

Books and Bites is for age 18 and older. For more information, visit or call 972-516-6250, option 3.
