The Wylie P.O.L.I.C.E. (Practice of Leadership, Integrity, and Character Education) Club is hosting its fourth annual Parents' Night Out. Parents are invited to drop their kindergarten through sixth-grade youngsters at Cooper Junior High where they will be entertained by members of the P.O.L.I.C.E. Club while parents take care of some Christmas shopping or enjoy a night out.
Cost per child is $12, plus a new, unwrapped toy for local underprivileged children. The $12 goes to the club, whose members learn about law enforcement and support various events and causes in the Wylie community.
Drinks and snacks will be provided, along with bounce houses, carnival-style games, a cake walk, crafts, a movie and more. Space is limited to the first 200. Registration is required; sign up at WyliePoliceClub.eventbrite.com. Participation is open to all youngsters, including those not enrolled in a Wylie ISD campus.
"Parents, come enjoy a night out while we entertain the kids," said Wylie PD Officer Michael Stewart, club sponsor. "Every year that we have held the Parents' Night Out has been more fun than the year before! The little ones who attend always have a blast."
