Mark your calendars and make sure to join us as we honor our military veterans and first responders at this year's 1LT Robert F. Welch III Run for our Heroes in Wylie, TX!
We will have a very special Opening Ceremonies at 8:30am which will include our Wylie FD and PD Honor Guard, Wylie FD Pipes and Drums, and American Legion down by the Wylie Veteran's Memorial followed by our 5k and 1miler Family Fun Run. A vendor fair will take place from 9-2pm with live music from Septien Entertainment from 10-12pm (bring out tour lawn chairs), lots of vendor booths with items for sale, military displays , and local businesses and nonprofit organizations. We will also have food trucks on site, a mobile Escape Room, and a Kids Zone with bounce houses, face painting and more! Carter Bloodcare will have a blood mobile on site where people can sign up to donate blood to help in our community especially right now when we have such a critical shortage of it. From 11-12:30pm, our charity will be providing a FREE lunch for all military veterans and first responders under the park pavilion.
