Wylie Arts Festival is the perfect opportunity to cross some names off your Christmas list or simply treat yourself. Stroll through the art and craft aisles in the FBC Wylie Event Center and shop from the vendors, hand-picked by the Public Arts Board to ensure a diverse, unique selection of quality, handmade fine art and craft items. Historic downtown will be filled with the smell of festive fair food, including funnel cake, kettle corn, turkey legs, corn dogs, tater twisters, sausage on a stick, and funnel fries. Also available will be brisket sandwiches, quesadillas, jambalaya, tacos, beans and rice, baked potatoes and more. The children's area features inflatables, Wylie FFA petting zoo, face painting, and barrel train rides. The Festival of Light Christmas Parade starts at 7:30, down Ballard Avenue, with the annual tree lighting afterward in Olde City Park. Mayor Eric Hogue will once again read "The Night Before Christmas" in the park. Free.
